The organisers of the LAN tournament in India did not look for a replacement for BetBoom Team

The BetBoom Team Counter-Strike 2 roster received technical forfeits for all their group-stage matches at the Skyesports Championship 2024 after they withdrew from the championship once it had started. The organisers will not be seeking a replacement for the team.

This information was shared by Aurora Gaming commentator Roman "DaGGeR" Konstantinov on his personal Telegram channel, and was later confirmed by BetBoom Team player Kirill "Magnojez" Rodnov. Rodnov also mentioned that the technical forfeits at the tournament should not affect the team's standing in the Valve ranking.

BetBoom Team withdrew from the Skyesports Championship 2024 after the tournament began, citing that the conditions at the event venue did not meet the organisers' initial promises. Other participants had also complained about issues with furniture, computers, and connectivity.

The Skyesports Championship 2024 is running from 23rd to 28th July. Matches were initially scheduled to start on 23rd July, but due to technical problems after the first match, the tournament was postponed by a day. The prize pool for the competition totals $300,000.
