NIP replaces captain and assistant coach

The Swedish esports organisation NIP has announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 roster, with the statement published on the team's official website.

Two members have been moved to the bench: captain Alejandro "alex" Masanet, who had been with the team since November 2023, and assistant coach Fredrik "slap" Jonbrant, who joined in May this year.

Gareth "MisteM" Ries has been appointed as the new in-game leader for NIP. The vacant assistant coach role has been filled by Daniel "sprayxd" Kogan. Both players had been part of the organisation’s academy roster since January of this year.

NIP competed at the ESL Pro League Season 20, currently taking place in Malta. The team won their opening group stage match, but then lost three consecutive games, finishing in 21st-28th place and exiting the tournament. NIP is set to compete at the RMR tournament in November ahead of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.

Current NIP roster:

- Fredrik "REZ" Sterner

- Max "maxster" Jansson

- Artem "r1nkle" Moroz

- Isak "isak" Fahlen

- Gareth "MisteM" Ries

- Richard "Xizt" Landström (coach)

- Daniel "sprayxd" Kogan (assistant coach)
