Leonid "chopper" Vishnyakov, the captain of Team Spirit, compared Ukrainian esports player Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev at his peak to G2's Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov. Chopper shared his opinion with viewers during his personal Twitch stream.
"In 2019-2021, if you played against s1mple and he wanted to beat you, it was almost impossible to win. For me, it was completely impossible. We won against them once – I don't even remember what exactly, maybe just one map. During those three years, Sanya [s1mple] was unbelievably good individually, no joke. Yes, there's a question, everyone talks about what kind of person he is in the game and so on, but the fact is that he was simply the best, and that's that.
M0NESY, I think, will continue playing like he is now for another two years. And in 3-4 years, we can talk about whether he is the best or not. For now, he is still at the beginning of his journey. He is incredibly strong, unbelievably strong. But s1mple was just much stronger."
Earlier, Vishnyakov answered several questions in an interview on the club's YouTube channel. In particular, the Russian esports player shared his emotions about him and his teammates reaching the top of the HLTV world rankings (the team is currently ranked second).
