A new wave of bans has begun in CS2

Valve has initiated a massive wave of bans in CS2 – cheaters' accounts are being blocked en masse in the game following today's update. In the explanation for the bans, the system cites the following reason: "Account convicted by the Patrol."

The massive bans were indicated by data miner Maxim "Gabe Follower" Poltaev on his Telegram channel. Poltaev explained that in reality, the bans are not related to the Patrol.

"Unexpected news has emerged. Hundreds, if not thousands, of cheaters' accounts are getting banned. This isn't the Patrol; it's server-side detection. I have footage where 9 out of 10 players are banned within seconds in the same match. I'm verifying all the info and making a video."

Gabe Follower also added that Valve hasn't finished working on the Patrol – according to him, the system's functionality isn't fully implemented in the game yet.

"The new update shows that the developers are still working on the Patrol. This explains why nobody in the community has gained access yet. It seems it's not fully implemented yet."

On May 1st, the developers released a minor update in Counter-Strike 2. In it, Valve fixed several bugs, including a keyboard malfunction bug, and also added a special console output for diagnosing performance issues.

In CS2, they also fixed a bug with the non-functional keyboard and sped up demo rewinding.

- Icons for grenade kills no longer display "in the air."

- Fixed an issue where pressing the buy menu or TAB would cause the game client to stop recognizing the keyboard.

- Reduced the number of user commands processed during fast-forwarding in demo recordings, cutting rewinding time by 80%.

- Added special console output that can be useful for experienced users to diagnose performance issues. When a very long frame occurs, its brief description is printed. A brief summary is printed at the end of the match.
