Metizport's captain, Erik "ztr" Gustafsson, has been benched and placed on the transfer list. This information was published on the Norwegian club's official website.
The news came as a surprise, as Metizport had just completed their roster a few days ago. The reasons for replacing ztr have not been disclosed.
In the announcement, Metizport stated that the team will be testing different players in upcoming tournaments. The club also plans to hold a press conference soon to share its future plans.
Gustafsson joined Metizport in December last year and took on the role of captain. Under his leadership, the team did not achieve significant results, with the most notable accomplishment being their successful qualification for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024, where they finished in 3rd-4th place.
Metizport's next match is scheduled for tomorrow, May 23. In the Round of 16 of the CCT Season 2 Europe Series 3, the Swedish team will face Space.
