BetBoom Team sniper Alexander "zorte" Zagodyrenko summarised his team's performance at the YaLLa Compass 2024 championship in Abu Dhabi. Zagodyrenko highlighted a positive trend in BetBoom Team's results. He shared his thoughts in a vlog posted on the club's YouTube channel.
"I believe we have a positive trend, 100%. But as usual, the hardest period—speaking from my experience—is to get through that stage from being a team that thinks it needs to do a lot to break through to the point where you need to realise that you've already broken through and all you need to do is just play calmly.
You need to understand in your mind that you are strong, that we as a team are strong, and can beat any opponent. You just need to realise this in your head, and then there will be some ease in the game. We need to reach this ease.
We are currently gaining experience before the RMR, and we need to qualify for the Major. There’s this LAN, another LAN in India. And it feels like the team should be more or less ready.
This LAN was indicative. We can come back, we can dominate, and we can lose badly if we're in a slump, and we can let ourselves be dominated. If we approach the game calmly and play moderately, normally, that's enough to beat any team in the world's top 10."
YaLLa Compass 2024 took place from June 5 to 9 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The total prize pool for the event was $400,000. In the final, The MongolZ defeated NIP 2-1. BetBoom Team finished in 5th-6th place, earning $20,000 in prize money.
