Yuurih: "9 Pandas players were shouting a lot, trolling us - made FalleN angry"

FURIA's Yuri "yuurih" Santos commented on his team's victory over Virtus.pro in the first round of the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2 playoffs for Counter-Strike 2. The Brazilian esports player highlighted the contribution of his captain, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo.

"The match was incredibly tough. The score doesn’t fully reflect what happened on the map; the game was hard-fought and exhausting. I think we just managed to win a few key rounds. For instance, the initial buy rounds on Inferno. That allowed us to take control of the game. We all played well today. When that happens, matches run much smoother, and it’s great.

[FalleN seemed to relive his youth in this tournament.] Yes, it’s true! In the first match we lost, the 9 Pandas players were shouting and trolling us – they annoyed FalleN. Now he’s become the ‘bad FalleN’.

Gabriel has been calling very well against the VP. He plays a big role in this team and needs to make an impact. When he’s on form, it benefits everyone. I think he can continue to show this level of play."

The BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2 is taking place from 24 August to 1 September in Belgrade, Serbia, featuring 12 teams. The total prize pool for the championship is $500,000. FURIA has already secured a spot in the top six of the tournament.
