Team Liquid's Counter-Strike 2 player Mareks YEKINDAR Galinskis shared details about his salaries in various teams during an interview with Erik "Shoke" Shokov on YouTube.
"Wolsung was a mix, so I played for free. At EPG, I was getting around $1,000. FORZE, I think, offered around the same. In pro100, it started at around $800 or $700, then went up to $1,500, and for some time it was $2,000. I don't remember everything exactly, but it was enough to live on. <...>
At Virtus.pro, it depended on the HLTV ranking and could vary. If you were top-1, they paid over $10,000. <...> Typically, it was around $5-6,000.
[Question: "And at Team Liquid?"] That's confidential information. I won't disclose it. They take good care of us. [Question: "More than $10,000?" Nods.] No."
Previously, Counter-Strike 2 analyst Duncan "Thorin" Shields commented on the community's reaction to YEKINDAR's gameplay struggles. "If you only knew YEKINDAR's salary, you wouldn't give him so much leniency," Thorin stated.
