YaLLa unveils $1.5 million Compass 2025 Series

YaLLa Esports, the leading tournament organiser based in the United Arab Emirates, has unveiled an ambitious plan for their 2025 tournament circuit. Building on the success of YaLLa Compass 2024, the upcoming series is set to enhance the competitive scene with substantial prize pools and a series of high-profile events.

Key Details for YaLLa Compass 2025:

- Total Prize Pool: $1.5 million

- Number of Open Qualifiers: 8

- Number of LAN Finals: 2, taking place in two different cities across the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region

Tournament Structure:

YaLLa Compass 2025 will feature a series of open qualifiers leading to two major LAN finals. The first LAN final is scheduled for April 15-20, 2025. The qualifying rounds will commence on July 29, 2024, with additional stages planned for the final quarter of 2024 and the first quarter of 2025.

Qualifying Format:

The qualification process will follow a similar structure to the 2024 circuit, featuring Spring and Fall "Contenders" stages.

- Each stage will involve a 16-team Swiss group stage, played in best-of-three matches, followed by a single-elimination playoff bracket, also in best-of-three format.

- Unlike the 2024 series, the Main stage in 2025 will not directly qualify teams for the LAN finals. Instead, the top two teams from each Main stage will progress to a closed qualifier before the main event.

Key Dates:

- Contenders Swiss Stage: July 29 - August 22, 2024

- Main Swiss Stage: August 26 - September 19, 2024

- Playoffs: September 23 - 25, 2024

The introduction of these YaLLa Compass tournaments will bring the total number of events in 2025 to 25. The scheduling of the first LAN final cleverly utilises the free days between a PGL-hosted tournament and an ESL-hosted tournament, ensuring optimal participation and viewership.

This expanded circuit not only underscores YaLLa Esports' dedication to advancing the competitive scene in the MENA region but also offers more opportunities for teams globally to compete at the highest level.
