NAVI's sniper, Igor "w0nderful" Zhdanov, assessed his team's current form ahead of the Esports World Cup 2024 final in Saudi Arabia. In an interview with HLTV.org, Zhdanov expressed confidence in himself and his teammates.
"I think so [confident in our abilities]. We've reached two consecutive finals. We lost to Team Spirit in the first one, and now we'll be playing against G2 in the second. We'll see how it goes. I believe we are in good shape. After the Major, we had a slump in two tournaments, but now we are thinking again and capable of showing excellent gameplay."
The Ukrainian esports player also shared his thoughts on G2's new CS2 roster. Igor named Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov as the best player in the world at the moment.
"Their new lineup is better than the previous one. They play very well, and since this is their first tournament, it could be the honeymoon effect. I don't know how they will perform in the future, but it's a great lineup and a strong opponent.
Yes, [m0NESY] is showing good gameplay, I would even say excellent. He is undoubtedly the number-one player in the world right now. We've faced them many times, but I've never thought about a sniper duel. I never think about it because I play against the team, not a single player. We'll see what happens tomorrow."
