Valve took away prime status from players who did not log into CS2 after release

Developers of Counter-Strike 2 have begun revoking prime status from users who have been inactive in the game for a long time. This became known after complaints on Reddit and social media.

As explained by a Steam support representative, starting May 10th, the company began revoking privileges from players who have never logged into CS2 since its release.

Prime status is only revoked from users who received it for free upon reaching the 21st level. It is not possible to restore it through Steam support, as Valve rejects such requests.

In CS2, prime status allows players to participate in ranked matchmaking and receive exclusive souvenirs, items, and cases. Previously, it could be obtained by reaching the 21st level of an account, but after CS:GO transitioned to the Free to Play model, it can only be purchased in the in-game store.
