The developers of Counter-Strike 2 have issued an official statement banning the use of the "Snap Tap" feature available to Razer keyboard owners, as well as any similar key binds that provide the same effect. Its use will now lead to exclusion from the match, although this currently only applies to official Valve servers.
“Recent hardware features have blurred the line between manual control and automation, so we’ve decided to clearly define what is acceptable in Counter-Strike and what is not.
We will no longer allow automation (via scripts or hardware) that circumvents fundamental skills, and starting from now (initially on official Valve servers), players suspected of automating multiple actions from a single input may be excluded from the match.
To prevent accidental violations, key binds involving more than one movement or attack action will no longer work (e.g., null-binds and jump-throw binds).
If you have a keyboard with input automation features (such as "Snap Tap Mode"), make sure to disable them before joining a match to avoid game interruptions.”
It is worth noting that Valve's stance on Snap Tap and similar binds comes just days before the start of the closed regional qualifiers for the RMR tournaments. These changes are expected to have a significant impact on the competitive Counter-Strike 2 scene.
In the latest patch, the developers not only banned certain types of automated movement and shooting inputs in CS2, but also began testing the updated VacNet 3.0 anti-cheat system.
