G2 signs another Russian player to their academy

The German esports club G2 has announced a roster change for its youth team competing under the G2 Ares tag in Counter-Strike 2. The announcement was made on the organisation's page on the social network X.

Estonian player Henri "xezr" Jõgi has left the team, with 20-year-old Russian esports player Roman "Ketsuo" Vitsinskiy stepping in to fill the spot. xezr had been with the roster since the club signed it in July this year and is now a free agent.

G2 Ares ranks 106th in HLTV.org's global Counter-Strike 2 rankings, having broken into the top 200 only a month ago.

The current G2 Ares roster is as follows:

- Mihai "fNk" Costache

- Artur "hitori" Palyants

- Vilius "tAk" Keserauskas

- Klimentiy "kl1m" Krivosheev

- Roman "Ketsuo" Vitsinskiy
