Twistzz: "I take responsibility for the defeat"

Liquid captain Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken has commented on his team's elimination from the IEM Cologne 2024 Championship in Germany. The Canadian cyber athlete took responsibility for the team's defeat in the tournament, sharing his thoughts on his social media page on X.

"I don’t know what to say. There were a lot of small mistakes made on the attacking side, and everyone was a bit anxious trying to close out the game. Of course, the result is disappointing, as everything was in our hands, but I’m pleased with how we are progressing.

GG to my friends from FaZe, I wish you guys all the best in the playoffs.
I’m proud of everyone on my team. Everyone is performing at a high level, but we still have work to do. I take responsibility for the loss. This is a valuable experience.
Ultimate, I’m glad you’re with us. An amazing performance in this tournament."

Liquid lost 1-2 to FaZe in the lower bracket final of Group B. Van Dulken's team finished 7th-8th in the tournament and earned $24,000 in prize money. FaZe, on the other hand, advanced to the top 6 of IEM Cologne 2024.
