Adam "torzsi" Torjáš, the sniper for MOUZ, shared his thoughts on which region is performing best in professional Counter-Strike 2 in 2024 – Europe or the CIS.
"At the moment, Europe is showing itself to be the strongest. The CIS has incredible players and teams, but it seems to me that English-speaking teams are currently dominating the professional scene. Vitality, MOUZ, FaZe, NAVI – all the top teams now communicate in English. The power dynamics were quite different just a couple of years ago."
The Hungarian esports player also named what he believes to be the best CS2 player of 2024. Torjáš considers Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut from Vitality to be the main contender for this title.
"Definitely ZywOo. He has performed magnificently throughout, including in crucial matches on big stages. He has been incredibly consistent, and his team has regularly made it to the finals or at least the semi-finals. In my opinion, Vitality is very strong this year.
M0NESY and donk are also on the list, of course – the competition is very high."
MOUZ will begin their run in the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2 tournament in Serbia. In the first round of the playoffs, Skaradeck’s team will face Eternal Fire.
