MOUZ sniper Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás explained the reasons behind his team's poor performance at the IEM Dallas 2024 championship in the United States. In an interview with HLTV, the esports athlete mentioned that he and his teammates were poorly prepared for the tournament and now regret it.
"We took a break after two tournaments, and because we didn't practice, we had a bad start. Looking back, it's obvious that it would have been smarter to train rather than not train. But after two tournaments, we needed to rest, and that's what we decided to do. However, it's good that we learned a lesson from this.
Now we'll take a break and prepare for the World Championship in Riyadh and, of course, the tournament in Cologne.".
Torzsi added that despite losing at IEM Dallas 2024, the team is proud of their achievements this season – MOUZ previously won ESL Pro League Season 19 and BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024.
"We're delighted with those two trophies. We wanted to get a third, yes. We wanted to win and wanted more. But we're still proud of what we've achieved this season: making it to the playoffs in all tournaments and winning two trophies.".
Yesterday, MOUZ lost 1-2 to G2 in the lower bracket of their group, finishing the championship in second-to-last place. Before that, the team defeated Complexity and lost to 9z.
