British analyst Duncan "Thorin" Shields has created a tier list of CS:GO team captains. Using a template from a user, he included only 27 of the most accomplished in-game leaders, distributing them across five categories, and excluded more than twenty suggested captains.
In Tier S, Thorin included three players: Finn "karrigan" Andersen, Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, and Daniil "Zeus" Teslenko. According to Thorin, Zeus demonstrated an ability to achieve results with any team. Shields also highlighted Zeus's skill in playing around the timer and delivering the bomb to the site in the final seconds of rounds, noting that in this regard, Zeus was the best in the entire game.
In Tier D, Thorin placed only two players: Pujan "FNS" Mehta and Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhaylov. Thorin believes Boombl4 did not show much over his CS:GO career, having only played one high-level season. Shields speculated that in the NAVI roster, which won a Major under Mikhaylov's leadership, much of the calling was handled by Boombl4's teammates—Alexander "s1mple" Kostylev, Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, and coach Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy.
