The tournament organiser ESL has unveiled the full list of participants for the 20th season of the Pro League, which will take place in early autumn this year. The announcement was made on the social network X.
The recipients of the final five invites to the championship were determined based on ESL’s ranking at the end of the first half of 2024. The slots were awarded to Team Spirit, Virtus.pro, The MongolZ, 9z, and Eternal Fire.
Ten spots in the tournament were claimed by the finalists of the regional Challenger leagues, including FlyQuest, Imperial, and Sangal, among others. Two more spots were contested at ESL Challenger Melbourne 2024 and ESL Challenger Jönköping 2024, which were secured by Falcons and MIBR respectively.
The remaining 14 slots were filled by partner teams such as Astralis, FaZe, G2, NAVI, Liquid, and others.
ESL Pro League Season 20 will be held from September 3 to 22 in the city of Saint Julian's, Malta. The tournament will feature a prize pool of $750,000. The winner will also earn a spot at IEM Katowice 2025.
