On June 26th, two CS2 players achieved the Global Elite rank in competitive mode. Information about this was reported on the statistics portal csstats.gg.
The first player to reach this rank was a gamer with the nickname 0.01$, achieving it on Dust2 after winning 46 matches. Shortly after, a player under the pseudonym kpl (katayu_po_legitu) ranked up to Global Elite on Mirage and Office. It took him 79 and 124 wins respectively.
The current ranking and badge system in Counter-Strike 2 was introduced in September 2023. Unlike CS, in the updated version of the shooter, competitive mode and Premier have different skill rating formats. In the former, players are awarded badges ranging from Silver I to Global Elite separately for each map. In Premier, players' skills are indicated by rating points, similar to the ELO system on FACEIT.
