The portal HLTV.org has released a list of esports players recognised as Exceptionally Valuable Players (EVP) following the recent IEM Rio 2024 championship in Brazil.
The EVP title was awarded to players who delivered outstanding performances during the tournament but were not named MVP. The list includes representatives from Vitality, HEROIC, FURIA, and NAVI. In total, seven players were honoured:
- Justinas "jL" Lekavicius (NAVI)
- Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut (Vitality)
- Valerii "b1t" Vakhovskyi (NAVI)
- Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo (MOUZ)
- Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato (FURIA)
- Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov (NAVI)
- Guy "NertZ" Iluz (HEROIC)
In addition, HLTV named a symbolic team of the best players from IEM Rio 2024 for each role, featuring four players from NAVI and one from Vitality.
IEM Rio 2024 took place from 7 to 13 October in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with the participation of 16 teams. The event's total prize pool was $250,000. In the final, NAVI defeated MOUZ 3-1. Mihai "iM" Ivan was recognised as the tournament's MVP.
