The eighth season of “Territory boost” has been announced

"Boost Territory" is a multi-stage esports project aimed at discovering talented Counter-Strike players and helping them realise their potential. If you are 16 years old or older and a Russian citizen, "Boost Territory" offers you the chance to become a professional esports player and sign your first professional contract.

The Russian Computer Sports Federation has announced the continuation of the "Boost Territory" series of tournaments for Valve's shooter. The eighth season of the championship, with a prize pool of ₽760,000, will take place from 10th to 18th August. Teams can choose from three divisions: Moscow, Novosibirsk, and Far East, with servers in Khabarovsk. Teams will compete in a round-robin format with best-of-1 matches in the group stage, followed by a knockout phase with a single-elimination bracket and best-of-3 series.

The competition features five online leagues annually, divided into two stages. Matches are played on the VK Play platform. Successful performance in the championship allows young players and teams to showcase their skills and advance in the tournament rankings. At the end of the year, an expert panel will select ten top amateur players based on individual statistics and invite them to a training camp in Moscow.

At the bootcamp, players will have the opportunity to be noticed by major clubs and train with professional coaches. "Boost Territory" positions itself as the only project in Russia that handles all stages of player scouting. If a player impresses a coach, they may be recommended to a professional team.

Key performance indicators (K/D, KPR, ADR, %HS, and others) are used to calculate individual ratings, similar to the HLTV 2.0 rating formula, as well as an overall ranking.

The bootcamp includes a venue equipped with necessary furniture, modern computers, and high-speed internet. Future esports stars will have all the infrastructure needed for living and skill development, including meals.

The conditions of the bootcamp are designed to simulate real-life scenarios. The camp program includes various activities for aspiring esports players, such as:

- Training: Individual sessions, team practices among bootcamp participants, and participation in open qualifiers for major tournaments if held.

- Media Activities: Interviews, blitz polls, etc.

- Group Training: Sessions with a certified fitness instructor.

- Sports Psychology: Sessions with a sports psychologist.

- Individual Interviews: Meetings with esports team coaches.

The program aims to help players feel like professionals and test their skills in high-pressure situations familiar to esports clubs. Participants will gain valuable experience and assess their readiness for further professional development.

Alexander "treyzgod" Bobylev:

"I learned about the tournament from my captain. He said that if we make it to the playoffs, we’d be provided with a flight to Moscow. I came here for the experience. I liked the hotel, the food, and the people. It was great to communicate and get to know everyone.

I liked the coaches Mint and 44. They have different approaches to the game, but I like both. Mint is a very good, positive, and kind person. It’s even pleasant to talk to him about things outside the game. I also spoke with 44 people, and it was great. I learned a lot of new tricks and grenades. I learned how everything works within the team. I would come here again.

It's worth coming here. The coaches will teach you how to play as a team. They will break down your positions, and tell you what to do and what not to do. They will guide you on how to play, review demos, and train. You will see clear growth as a player."

The last "Boost Territory" bootcamp took place in 2023. The best young players trained with former esports player and team mentor Anatoly "liTTle" Yashin and participated in a media day organised by RuHub studio. Players also worked with a fitness trainer and spoke with an esports organisation psychologist. The bootcamp lasted for six days.

Following the first bootcamp, two promising players launched their esports careers and signed contracts with the professional Team Quazar. In April 2023, Alexey "L4F" Pestov and Ivan "electro" Pugach joined the main roster of the club.

The seventh season concluded on 7th July. More than 50 teams competed for ₽760,000, with the top players advancing to the bootcamp program. The champions of the regional competitions were teams jokersnnq, 5goblinz, and GR Gaming.
