Team Shush did not obtain prize winnings from Skyesports Souvenir 2023

Following the controversy surrounding unpaid prize money from the Skyesports Masters 2023 tournament, it has emerged that Team Shush has yet to receive their winnings from their participation in Skyesports Souvenir 2023. The event, held in September 2023 online, saw Gods Reign from India defeat Team Shush from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the grand finals. According to tournament results, Gods Reign claimed $2500 in prize money for first place, while Shush was slated to receive $1000 for their second-place finish.

A member of Team Shush informed Dust2 India that Skyesports contacted them on July 9, 2024 to discuss the prize money, but as of the morning of July 10, 2024, the team had not received their payment. This delay is concerning, particularly in light of recent issues with payout delays in other Skyesports tournaments. Skyesports is set to host a $300,000 tournament from July 23-29, prompting concerns about potential payment issues for future events.

Meanwhile, an anonymous player from Gods Reign told Dust2 India that their organisation has received the prize money and players are anticipating their share soon. This disparity in payment between participating teams raises questions about Skyesports' transparency and professionalism.

As of the time of publication, Skyesports has not issued an official statement regarding the matter. The community expects Skyesports to take prompt action to resolve the payment issues and restore confidence ahead of their upcoming major tournament.
