Interview with Larionov with Brollan.
After a rough period in NiP, many had already written off Brollan from the list of top CS players, but he returned to Mouz and proved that his decline was only temporary. With the new team, he made it to the Major playoffs, and today he will play in the IEM Chengdu final against Faze Clan.
I talked to the young star during the playoffs – including about his personal performance and the problems of Swedish CS. Thanks to Okko for helping organize the interview. On Okko, you can watch the Russian broadcast of IEM Chengdu and other ESL tournaments.
– You and the team have been in China for over a week now. How do you find Asian culture? CS tournaments aren't held here as often.
– Yes, the traditions and culture here are quite different from European ones. It's always interesting to explore the cities, and take walks in China. Overall, it's a beautiful country, and everyone is so kind to each other. The fans really support us – maybe even a bit too much at times. This isn't my first trip to China, and I've always enjoyed it.
– We're used to Sweden always being one of the top countries for CS, but now it's in crisis. You're one of the few top Swedish players right now. What needs to happen for Sweden to rise back to the top?
– There needs to be a work ethic established. We've been struggling with this in recent years. In other countries, many more players enjoyworking consistently. I think now in Sweden, teams are emergingthat work hard, but we still have a problem with leaders. In my opinion, we only have a couple of captains right now, whereas other countries have many more. Sweden needs strong leaders to play well in the future.
