Vitality player Lotan "Spinx" Giladi shared his thoughts on his team's victory over Astralis in the group stage of the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 for Counter-Strike 2. In an interview with HLTV, Giladi stated that the situation with Astralis did not affect his mindset during the match.
"I feel good. We dominated as a team and individually. I’m just happy we’re performing at such a level because not only are we winning, but the way we’re winning – we’re not giving our opponents a single round. If we can, we’re fully focused on the game. So yes, it’s a good feeling.
[Were you even more focused, considering who you were playing against?] Personally, no, I don’t care about the situation at all. But I know some people wanted us to win because of certain circumstances. So, I’m happy for them, and happy for myself just because I won the game."
The Israeli esports athlete also discussed the team's goal for the tournament in Copenhagen.
"[Are you ready to lift the trophy?] In some way, yes. First of all, we’re not immediately thinking about the title. We have another game ahead, and we’re focused on one game at a time. But we are Vitality, and when we’re in a tournament, the title is always our goal."
The BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 is taking place from 25 to 29 September in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a total prize pool of $425,000 to be shared among eight teams. The winner will also secure a spot at the BLAST Premier World Final 2024.
