HEROIC's Counter-Strike 2 coach, Eetu "sAw" Saha, commented on his team's defeat against OG in their debut match at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 during a post-match interview.
"It was a tough game, and to be honest, we just didn’t wake up on the first map, especially in the first half. It felt like we weren’t even there, especially mentally, and no one could find a solution. Almost everything we did was out of our control, and they punished us for it.
It’s disappointing to be knocked out so quickly, especially after Cologne, where we had extra time to train, and now we can’t show any of that, being eliminated so early. It’s a sad situation. We have so many problems to fix.
Sure, the maps were close, but if you look at the rounds, it shouldn’t have been that close. We should have used many more situations to our advantage. Congratulations to OG on the win, but no team should be able to punish us for such things, at least not as often as they did."
HEROIC ended their run at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 in 9th-16th place, earning five thousand dollars as a reward. OG advanced to the next round, where they will face AMKAL.
