S1mple discussed his return to the pro scene.
"As Blade said, it's a secret. It all depends on the details; no one knows yet. It depends on the results - NAVI won the Major, and plans have changed a bit. It also depends on who can pay the buyout, and which pro players will be available [to form the roster].
We'll have to wait for the break between tournaments, I think. Usually, roster shuffles happen right after the Major, but now we have a season to finish.
Players have good contracts now, and organizations don't want to sell players. [Is this about NAVI and you too?] No, I'm talking about other clubs. When you sell a player, you need to find a replacement, and that can sometimes be hard," shared Alexander "S1mple" Kostylev in an interview with HLTV.
"I had 3-4 invitations to other teams, but... Some of them, honestly, weren't as good, and others didn't have the money for the buyout."
It all depends on the team and the roster. I want the team to have a system. If it doesn't - I want to build it but with the right people. [What system?] Professional, like in NAVI. Teams that invited me may have had systems, but they were bad.
I'm just looking for strong players. If someone wants to build around someone, around me, for example, or someone else. I want to see professionals who will put in all the effort, stay at boot camps for months, grind, and get better.
[About role change] It doesn't matter, honestly. It would be great to be a sniper because when you play with the AWP, you can always buy a rifle when you want. That suits me more. But when you have a good sniper - of course, I'll give him the role. I know I can make a difference as a rifler in different places on the map," stated Alexander "S1mple" Kostylev in an interview with HLTV.
