According to rumours, British player William "mezii" Merriman might soon leave the active roster of Vitality's Counter-Strike 2 team. Insider, streamer, and owner of the GenOne organisation Sebastien "KRL" Perez reported this information.
KRL mentioned that the French club is considering two candidates to replace mezii: Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy and Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken. Perfecto has been benched by Cloud9 since April of this year, while Twistzz has been playing for Liquid for the past six months. The organisation has not yet confirmed these rumours.
Vitality's team finished second at both IEM Dallas 2024 and ESL Pro League Season 19. They also reached the top four at the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024. Next week, Vitality is set to compete in the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 in London.
