Rumours: G2 may buy out M80 player

According to rumours, the European esports club G2 is in talks with M80 regarding the transfer of Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa. This information comes from the Dust2.us portal.

Sources indicate that the North American organisation has requested a six-figure sum to release their player. M80 has already started searching for a replacement for malbsMd, reportedly contacting several teams with inquiries.

The Guatemalan esports player has been with M80 since July of last year. Before joining M80, he played for LOS, TeamOne, and 00Nation. In 2024 tournaments, malbsMd achieved an average rating of 1.32, the highest on the team.

It is unknown who malbsMd will replace in G2's roster if the transfer goes through. Notably, G2 substituted at the recent IEM Dallas 2024 championship, where Jake "Stewie2K" Yip played instead of Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen. The team ultimately secured first place. G2 also competed with a partial lineup at the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024.

The current G2 roster is:

- Nikola "NiKo" Kovač

- Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač

- Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov

- Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen

- Nemanja "nexa" Isaković

- Viktor "TaZ" Wojtas (coach)
