According to unofficial reports, Valve will not be transferring the "Danger Zone" mode from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to Counter-Strike 2. This information was shared by English-speaking commentator Neo "Ne0kai" Cain on his X social media page.
Ne0kai explained, citing his own source, that "Danger Zone" was not popular enough among players, which is why the developers did not prioritise it. As a result, fans should not expect the return of this mode to CS in the foreseeable future.
Ne0kai also mentioned that Valve might be working on another mode to replace "Danger Zone," but he is uncertain about the accuracy of this rumour.
To recap, "Danger Zone," a battle royal-style mode, was introduced in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in 2018. With the release of CS2 in September 2023, the mode was removed from the game.
