British journalist Richard Lewis has criticised the Counter-Strike 2 community for awarding the GOAT title to Danil "donk" Kryshkovets. He argues that the esports player lacks the experience to be considered the greatest of all time. Lewis's comments were highlighted by the Telegram channel CS2 NEWS.
"Donk is not yet the GOAT. He's too young. Please learn what the term means. GOAT stands for 'Greatest of All Time', and he's only been on the tier-1 scene for a year.

Donk began competing in the tier-1 scene on 5th July 2023, with Team Spirit being his first and only current team. Before this, he spent about two years with Team Spirit Academy.
As of the article's publication, Team Spirit is participating in ESL Pro League Season 20, with their next match scheduled for 4th September.
