Marcelo "coldzera" David's team emerged victorious at the local LAN tournament CBCS Masters 2024, which took place on 4th and 5th October in São Paulo, Brazil.
The group stage of the competition, held online from 23rd to 26th September, featured eight South American teams. The top four teams advanced to the LAN finals: paiN, BESTIA, Imperial, and RED Canids.
In the first round of the playoffs, BESTIA defeated paiN, while RED Canids triumphed over Imperial. In the final, coldzera and his teammates secured a hard-fought victory over BESTIA, with the match ending 3-2. Interestingly, RED Canids lost the first two maps (2:13 on Ancient, 6:13 on Mirage, 13:7 on Nuke, 13:8 on Dust2, 13:7 on Anubis).
For winning CBCS Masters 2024, RED Canids earned approximately $16,500. The runners-up, BESTIA, received $7,300, while paiN and Imperial, who finished in joint 3rd-4th place, each took home $1,800. The total prize pool for the event was around $27,500.
