The first day of the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 online championship has concluded, resulting in three teams being eliminated from the competition.
In the first round of the tournament bracket, Rare Atom lost to FaZe (8:13 on Inferno, 9:13 on Ancient), HEROIC was defeated by OG (10:13 on Anubis, 11:13 on Nuke), and NIP couldn't overcome AMKAL (3:13 on Inferno, 13:3 on Ancient, 17:19 on Vertigo).
The eliminated teams placed 9th-16th, each earning $5,000. The victorious teams advanced to the top eight of the championship.
The BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 is taking place online from 21 to 25 August, with a total prize pool of $135,000. The two top teams will qualify for the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024.
