Russian esports player Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy will not return to the main roster of Cloud9 for CS2. The player shared this information in a comment to the Telegram channel CS2 NEWS.
Perfecto has been on Cloud9's bench since April 2024. In July, the club announced a new roster that did not include Zalutskiy. However, the portal Liquipedia listed the Russian player as part of the C9 main roster for the closed qualifiers for the RMR at the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024. Later, a post appeared on the club's social media featuring a screenshot from Liquipedia as a meme with the caption "Confirmed our participation in the closed qualifiers for the Shanghai Major RMR."
The European qualifiers for the RMR leading up to the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will be held online from August 21 to 23. The participants have been divided into two separate tournaments. Cloud9 is placed in qualification B, which also includes Nemiga Gaming, Amkal Esports, and 9Pandas.
