The majority of the participants for one of the biggest Counter-Strike 2 tournaments of 2024, IEM Cologne 2024, have been confirmed.
Four teams secured their spots in Cologne through previous ESL competitions: Team Spirit won IEM Katowice 2024, FaZe clinched the title at IEM Chengdu 2024, MOUZ emerged victorious in ESL Pro League Season 19, and G2 triumphed at IEM Dallas 2024.
An additional spot for IEM Cologne 2024 will be decided through a closed qualifier for German teams. The remaining slots are allocated based on the ESL ranking, with invitations going to teams like Vitality, Astralis, NAVI, Virtus.pro, and others.
IEM Cologne 2024 will take place from August 7 to 18 in Cologne, Germany, featuring 24 teams. The total prize pool for the event will be $1 million.
