Insider Alexey "OverDrive" Biryukov shared fresh information about a multifaceted reshuffle involving Russian players in his Telegram channel. According to his data, Cloud9 is facing serious challenges in forming a new roster as players are turning down offers from the North American club.
OverDrive also reported that Alexander "shalfey" Marenov had chosen 9 Pandas from among many options to continue his career. As a result, the current team captain Denis "seized" Kostin will consider other opportunities, including transitioning to coaching.
"The saga with Shalfey is over. The choice is controversial, but we'll see in the long run. My info about Seized will be updated immediately. Most likely, he will take a break to gather all offers and decide what to do next after some time. But unfortunately for him, 90% of the offers will be about coaching. The Pandas roster seems to be holding up, as no one is moving to Cloud9 yet. Moreover, not only Zorte and Klax are not interested in Cloud9, but no one else wants to go there yet."
Recall that Cloud9 is restructuring the team after losing three players at once: Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, Abay "HObbit" Khasenov, and Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy. The club aims to build a new roster around the remaining players, Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov and Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov.
