OG found a replacement for HeavyGod

The rumours have been confirmed: Thomas "Thomas" Utting has officially become the new player for OG's Counter-Strike 2 roster. The British esports athlete has joined OG as a stand-in. The organisation announced this on its social media page on X.

Utting replaces Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko, who has transferred to Cloud9. Thomas will take on the role of team captain, previously held by Nils "k1to" Gruhne.

Thomas's last team was 5W, for which he played in May and June of this year. The players decided to part ways due to deception by the club owners, leading to the eventual disbandment of the team.

OG's updated roster will debut at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024, which will take place in Copenhagen from July 26th to August 4th, featuring 16 teams. The event's prize pool is $190,000.

The current OG roster:

- Maciej "F1KU" Miklas

- Nils "k1to" Gruhne

- Bram "Nexius" Campana

- Madălin-Andrei "MoDo" Mirea

- Thomas "Thomas" Utting (stand-in)

- Lambert "Lambert" Prigent (coach)
