Fnatic and OG have emerged as the winners of the first open qualifier for the IEM Rio 2024 Autumn Championship in Counter-Strike 2. Both teams have advanced to the closed stage of the qualifying round.
In the decisive matches of the qualifier, Kristoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard's team defeated B8, while Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro's line-up triumphed over QUAZAR. Other teams participating included ENCE, NIP, GamerLegion, TSM, and around 600 other teams.
The second European open qualifier will take place on 18 and 19 August, offering two more spots in the closed qualifiers. The current participant list for the closed qualifier is as follows:

IEM Rio 2024 will be held from 7 to 13 October 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, featuring 16 teams. The participants will compete for a $250,000 prize pool, with the winner securing a spot at IEM Katowice 2025.
