The Saudi Arabian club Falcons has officially confirmed the rumoured transfer of Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev to their team. The announcement was made on the organisation's page on the social media platform X.
The Ukrainian esports player will be competing for Falcons on a loan from NAVI. The loan agreement is set for three months, meaning s1mple will represent the team in the upcoming RMR tournament for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, which will take place in November.
Kostyliev has taken the spot of Álvaro "SunPayus" García, who has been moved to the bench by the club. García has played for the Falcons since December last year, and his average rating over the past three months is 1.13 (across 68 maps).
It is worth noting that Aleksandr had been benched by NAVI since October 2023. In March of this year, he played for Falcons on loan at the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024, where the team lost their first match and finished last in the tournament. Falcons is currently ranked 15th in the HLTV world rankings.
