Streamer Yaroslav "NS" Kuznetsov reacted to the news about professional CS2 player Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev's readiness to face content creator Sergey "LenaGol0vach" in a 1v1 mid lane match in Dota 2. Kuznetsov commented on the esports player's statement during a Twitch stream.
"S1mple is a unique person. It's really hard for me to recall anyone in history who, within about two years, went from being the best player, the MVP of every tournament by a mile, with the best stats at every event, to someone promoting himself by challenging Golovach to a 1v1. The guy just threw away his career. I don't know, it's a unique case. With such an incredible potential and talent, to lose it all in literally one or two years — it takes some special skills to do that."
Previously, s1mple hosted a Dota 2 stream during which he expressed his readiness to arrange a 1v1 match against LenaGol0vach. "Let him know right away if he wants to play for money 1v1 — I'll crush him," the esports player declared. As of the time of this publication, Kostyliev is inactive in Natus Vincere's CS2 roster. His last official match was in March 2024.
