Jacob "jocab" Nerhedén, a member of NIP's youth roster, will continue playing as a stand-in for the main team until the end of the year, as announced by the organisation’s management on social media.
Nerhedén is temporarily replacing Max "maxster" Jansson, who has already missed two tournaments—Elisa Masters Espoo 2024 and Thunderpick World Championship 2024—due to health issues.
Head coach Richard "Xizt" Landström clarified that while maxster is on the mend, the player will not be fully recovered in time for the bootcamp or the RMR tournament itself.
With jocab on the roster, the team finished last at Elisa Masters Espoo 2024 and second to last at Thunderpick World Championship 2024. The Swedish player posted an average rating of 0.80 over four maps in the first tournament and improved to 0.99 across seven maps in the second.
