The first day of the LAN tournament YaLLa Compass 2024 in Abu Dhabi has concluded, revealing the emerging favorites and underdogs in each group.
In Group A, NIP, TheMongolz, and Astralis are currently vying for a spot in the playoffs. NIP and TheMongolz are tied for first place in the standings, both having won two matches. On the other hand, HEROIC has lost two consecutive matches and has dropped to the bottom of the group.
In Group B, only one team finished the first day with a perfect 2-0 record: Complexity. BetBoom Team won two series and lost one, placing them in second. Eternal Fire has performed the worst in their group so far, failing to win a single map.
As a reminder, the top team from each group will advance directly to the semifinals of the playoffs, while the next two teams from each group will move on to the quarterfinals. All group-stage matches are best-of-one.
YaLLa Compass 2024 is taking place from June 5 to 9 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, with 12 teams competing for a total prize pool of $400,000.
