Russian esports player Alexey "NickelBack" Trofimov has left the AMKAL organisation as a free agent. According to the official announcement posted on the club's Telegram channel, the contract was terminated by mutual agreement.
Trofimov was part of AMKAL from December 2023 to April 2024, after which he was moved to the bench, where he has remained since.
Before joining AMKAL, NickelBack played for 1WIN, Entropiq, EPG, and other teams. Throughout his professional Counter-Strike 2 career, he has earned $179,000 in prize money.
In April-May of this year, Trofimov served as a stand-in for FORZE during the ESL Pro League Season 19 tournament held in Malta. With him, the team secured a 21st-28th place finish at the championship.
