The Brazilian esports club MIBR has officially announced a roster change in their Counter-Strike 2 lineup: Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves is the new addition to the team. Neves replaces Breno "brnz4n" Poletto, who had been with MIBR for over two years, since May 2022. The latter has been moved to the reserve.
Interestingly, MIBR had previously shown interest in Lucaozy: in May last year, the club was prepared to pay $280,000 for Lucas's transfer, but the player declined the offer. Lucaozy had represented Fluxo since August 2022 until today. His average rating over the past three months is 1.20 (across 82 maps).
Fluxo has already found a replacement for Lucaozy, with Guilherme "piriajr" Barbosa taking the vacant spot in the team.
Fluxo was unable to qualify for the RMR ahead of the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, as the team lost in the closed qualifiers. MIBR, on the other hand, received a direct invitation to the tournament based on the Valve ranking.
It is worth mentioning that MIBR finished in the top four at the recent ESL Pro League Season 20. The team's debut with the new roster will take place today in the ESL Challenger League Season 48 South America, where they will face Imperial.
