Maniac has commented on the recent allegations of sexual harassment made by journalist Hannah Marie, claiming he did not intend to come across as intrusive in his interactions with her.
"I just learned about the accusations, and it has left me in shock. My recollection of that night is completely different. But I don’t think that matters," Maniac stated.
He noted that he arrived at the party at 12:30 AM, as confirmed by his Uber receipt, and was not on the dance floor until 12:45 AM. He mentioned that they flirted for a while, which he believed was mutual, and took place in front of a small group of people in the centre of the venue.
"If I missed any signals that my actions were inappropriate, then that’s my fault, and it’s entirely unacceptable. Even if I disagree with her version, she has every right to perceive it in her way. I won’t make excuses," Maniac said.
He emphasised his serious approach to such matters and said he could not imagine causing discomfort, anxiety, or distress to anyone. Maniac expressed that he believes the title of the post may be misleading, and he does not consider there to have been any sexual violence.
He described the behaviour in question as inappropriate but stated he would not work at EPL to avoid distracting viewers from CS. "For everyone's sake, it’s better if I step away," Maniac concluded.
