Newly minted G2 member Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa has shared the roles he will be taking on within the team. In an interview with Dust2.us, the Guatemalan esports player explained that he will not be playing the star roles he held in his previous team, M80.
"I won't be performing all my roles from M80 in G2. Some roles, yes, and some, no. The biggest change for me will be on the defensive side. I'll be an anchor – A on Mirage, A on Ancient. <...> I won't be playing the star roles that I had in M80 on the defensive side."
malbsMd also discussed what the team needs to achieve for him to consider his first year with G2 successful. Mario aims to secure at least two titles.
"I want to have at least two titles under my belt by the end of my first year with G2. I'm not setting high expectations for the team. I'm not going to say that we will win a major in such a short period. I'm a realist."
Samayoa officially joined the G2 roster at the end of last month, replacing Nemanja "nexa" Isaković, who, in turn, moved to BLEED. Additionally, the club recently introduced their new captain, Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski.
