The North American team NRG will be unable to participate in the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024. The event organisers announced this on the social network X.
According to the official announcement, the team will miss the tournament due to the closed qualifiers for the Shanghai Major, which are set to begin in the American region the day after the BLAST event concludes.
The vacant spot at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 has been awarded to the M80 team, who finished second in the regional qualifiers (NRG won the qualification).
The BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 will take place online from 21 to 25 August, featuring 16 teams. The prize pool for the championship will be $135,000. The closed qualifiers for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 in America are scheduled for 26 to 28 August.
