G2 Esports' sniper Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov spoke about his individual preparation for ESL Pro League Season 20 in an interview with caster Chad "SPUNJ" Berthel. He also mentioned that his luggage was lost during the flight to the tournament venue.
"My luggage was lost. But yes, I have my gear— that's more important. I don't have clothes, but the manager went to buy some things for me, so I have a pair of underwear. Never forget to pack your jersey just in case—I didn't do that."
Osipov revealed that after IEM Cologne 2024, he took some time off to be with friends. Although G2 Esports frequently had team practices, he felt dissatisfied with his training.
"Yes, [after IEM Cologne 2024] I went home—I trained, met friends I hadn't seen for a long time. I hadn't been home for about two or three months. <...> [On FACEIT, I played] not as much as one might expect. I played a maximum of ten matches—it's very bad. I should have played more.
Yes, we trained a lot, but apart from that, I spent time walking with friends. Sometimes I need to touch the grass outside."
