G2 member Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov reflected on his performance at the recent Esports World Cup 2024 in Saudi Arabia. Osipov noted that he was "not in the zone" during the tournament and promised to improve in upcoming competitions.
"I played the tournament very poorly, I wasn't in the zone. I know I can do better, and I'll try to play at 100% for the rest of the season."
The Russian eSports player also shared his thoughts on the playstyle of team NAVI, whom G2 faced in the final of the Esports World Cup 2024.
"They have a very annoying play style, and you need to be prepared for a team like that; they force you to make mistakes. In the final, I made a lot of errors, which cost us many rounds."
The Esports World Cup 2024 took place from 17 to 21 July in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The event's prize pool was one million US dollars. In the final, NAVI defeated G2 with a score of 2:1. Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy was named the tournament's best player by HLTV.
