Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato from FURIA shared his thoughts on his team's performance at the Esports World Cup 2024 in Saudi Arabia. In an interview with HLTV.org, KSCERATO highlighted the significant potential he sees in FURIA's current roster but emphasised that they need time to fully realise it.
"I am confident about our next performance. We trained for two weeks, and we had a new team, so we had to fix some things. We need to find many ways to win and close out maps. We need time. Next time, we will be stronger. <…>
Skullz is very good, and sidde is doing an excellent job along with FalleN. I feel very good playing this game. I think this is the best FURIA roster in a long time. I am confident in our abilities. We need to fix a few things. As I said, time is important for us to gain more confidence, gain more experience together, improve our trades, and so on. Next time will be better. We will be practising now, and I hope we can bring a trophy to Brazil."
KScerato also explained why he decided to sign another three-year contract with FURIA, in addition to the six years he has already spent with the club.
"This organisation has given me everything. I am very grateful for that. I don't think now is the time to leave them. I need to win some tournaments before I leave or anything like that. I want to bring a major trophy to Brazil, and I think I have time for that. I have more than ten years left. I'm not planning on quitting the game."
FURIA finished in 5th-8th place at the Esports World Cup 2024, winning $40,000 in prize money. In the first round of the playoffs, the Brazilian team lost to MOUZ with a score of 1-2.
