FaZe's captain, Finn "karrigan" Andersen, discussed the potential end of his professional Counter-Strike career in an interview with Dust2.dk. According to the Danish player, if his team ever feels that he is no longer up to the task and wants to replace him, he would be ready to step down.
"I don't know how much longer I'll be playing. I sign six-month contracts. FaZe and I have an agreement: we extend the contract every off-season. I told FaZe that if they find someone else who can do the job better, I’m ready to leave."
"I’m sacrificing everything. Over the last two weeks, I’ve worked 140 hours. I do everything for the sake of the team. There will come a time when I might no longer be able to keep the team working. But I’d prefer for the team to make that decision, rather than me."
"The only promise I made to myself is that if I wake up one morning and feel like I no longer have the motivation, then it will be time to stop."
It should be noted that FaZe secured a spot in the final stage of IEM Cologne 2024 in Counter-Strike 2. In the lower bracket final of Group A, they defeated Liquid 2-1. Prior to that, FaZe eliminated Falcons from the tournament.
